Hot Mess tonight

Join me tonight at The Inn for another installment of Hot Mess Thursdays.  If you’ve seen some of the pictures from the night, you know that it truly is a hot mess.  And check out the snazzy new flyer that I was able to outsource to a designer based in the UK.  During a bout of insomnia a few days ago, I posted a project on elance, looking to hire a designer to make a few flyers.  Within a half hour I already had 10 bids.  After going through the proposals, I settled on 2 designers (one in the UK and one in India).  I gave each of them the same guidelines, went to sleep, and by the time I woke up, I had received 3 samples from each of them.  Each flyer cost about $25, and I could have paid less had I negotiated harder; but I thought it was definitely worth the price for the time it saved me.
